For over 25 years, San Miguel School has been committed to providing a quality private school education to those most in need of support. We provide a holistic education by administering to the educational, emotional and social skills of each student. San Miguel School aims to create “whole” individuals who are well balanced in their outlook on life and their personal understanding of themselves in relation to the world. San Miguel provides an education that nurtures and develops the future thinkers and leaders of tomorrow by engaging them academically, socially and spiritually in their education. Each student enters our doors as a boy and leaves as a “Miguel Man” who is connected to the community and has reverence for his place in that community and the world. San Miguel School reinforces in each boy the belief that they matter. The Champlin Foundation has been a strong supporter over the years. From our humble beginnings on Carter Street to our present location on Branch Avenue, its investment in our mission and our students is immeasurable. Since moving into our current location, The Champlin Foundation has provided funding totaling $242,960.
One of the most impactful grants was the gymnasium rehab and installation project. The boys now have a place to have recess, practice sports, and host basketball games. On many days, you can enter through the Branch Avenue entrance and hear the cheers of students and fans as they hail their Miguel Shooting Stars! The gym also provides space for the community including Tides Family Services, ReFocus Inc., and Brown University Health Fair. Reunion events with our graduates are also held each week in the gym. These funds from The Champlin Foundation have made it possible for us to deliver our mission. We are so very grateful for generous support…we could not have done it without you!
