It is with gratitude that we take this time to thank The Champlin Foundation for the years of continued support to our program. The Champlin Foundation has been one of our most influential supporters in helping to guarantee that that we can carry on our mission each year.
Camp Ruggles has been a non-profit summer day camp serving children clinically diagnosed with emotional, social, and behavioral disabilities for the past 44 years. Each summer we accept 60 children between the ages of 6 and 12, and provide a highly structured, therapeutic program with a camper to counselor ratio of 3 to 1.
Our program is designed specifically for children with significant emotional and behavioral issues who cannot succeed in a regular camp environment. Our team of licensed educators, medical personnel and counselors, facilitate strategically designed behavior modification plans for each child. With consistent positive interventions, our campers work towards building better self-esteem, self-control, and improved peer relationships. These skills are crucial for their development and success in school.
It is the generosity of organizations like The Champlin Foundation that gives me hope to continue on each year as our team tries to positively support each camper in our program, and to provide a fun summer setting away from the stresses of life. We hope and believe that our skilled staff can work with and teach the campers coping strategies and social skills that will help them grow and develop into successful adults.
Thank you again for your continued support. It is greatly appreciated!
